Sizes that are a convention (such as mattresses) are shown as such; sizes that vary by maker (blankets, towels, appliances, storage units) are shown as ranges with the sources named on each page. Results are estimates from your inputs, so check the product or installation guide before you buy or build.
How to choose: start from the question you have. If you are deciding what to buy or rent, such as a storage unit, a mattress or an appliance, use a size calculator or size chart and compare the result with the space you measured. If you are planning a job, such as packing a move or fitting a closet, use the matching calculator and then print the checklist so you can tick items off. Every page lists its sources and how the figure was worked out, so you can see what was assumed. The site is meant for home owners, renters and anyone helping a family member move or tidy up; it does not replace a measurement of your own room, or the maker’s specifications.
