Why we do not stock stone raised beds

Wood beds: the main alternative

Six of the ten raised beds are wood, mostly fir or pine. Fir and pine are softwoods that weather to a grey patina over time, which can resemble stone. They are lighter than stone and can be assembled with basic tools. Look for drainage holes and a trellis if you plan to grow climbing plants.
